Nourishing Egg Yolk Mask
Ingredients:
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 to 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil of your choice
Beat the egg yolk with a few spoonfuls of oil. Apply the mixture to your hair, making sure to massage it in well. Leave on for several hours before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Nourishing and Strengthening Masks
Recipe No. 1
Ingredients:
- 1 beaten whole egg
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil of your choice
- 5 drops of rosemary essential oil
Recipe No. 2
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 teaspoon of avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon of honey
Mix all ingredients, then apply the resulting mixture to the hair. Massage well, then leave on for a few hours. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Warning: Unless you want to combine business with pleasure (washing your hair while preparing an omelet), absolutely do not rinse your hair with hot water (this would cook the yolks!).
Notes:
- These hair masks are typically used once a week
- You may double the quantities if your hair is long or voluminous.
- If possible, use vegetable oils labeled "organic" (this is a guarantee of good quality)
- Essential oils are sold in pharmacies, health stores, herbal shops, natural product stores, and online (example: aroma-zone.com)
Tip: To increase the mask's effectiveness, wrap your hair in a warm towel!
